St John Houghton R. C. Church is located in Church Road, between Asda and Grove Road. It was designed by David Bartlett as a dual purpose building and build by parishioners between 1978 and 1980. It seats about eighty people and the altar area can be screened off so that the building can also be used as a hall. However, it is not generally let out for non-Church purposes.

It forms part of Kelvedon Catholic Parish and full details of activities can be seen on the website. The contact person is the Parish Priest, Monsignor Gordon Read: The Presbytery,Church Street, Kelvedon, CO5 9AH.

Mass is celebrated every Sunday evening at 6.00 p.m. During the week the Church is open for prayer on Tuesday mornings 11.00-12.00 noon; most weeks a group of parishioners meet at this time for Eucharistic Adoration and Rosary, concluding with tea or coffee.

Tiptree Community Church was formed in October 2015 from a small group of Christians who wanted to meet together on a Sunday morning.  We have a variable programme, including Cafe Church, prayer, communion, worship and teaching, and also benefit from visiting speakers and musicians.  Our emphasis is to encourage everyone to engage in Christian discipleship in a friendly and welcoming environment.  Please see our website for more information.
