KYDS Youth Drama Society is a registered charity working with young people and members of the community in Tiptree and the surrounding villages. The Society usually stages two productions a year in the village as well as hosting regular workshops and other events throughout the year. KYDS is always looking for new youth members aged 11 up to 18 and is actively seeking volunteers to help support the Society’s important work. Rehearsals on Monday and Thursday evenings. Mainly at Spring Lodge Community Centre, Witham but sometimes at the Public Hall. There are also some all day Sunday rehearsals. |

Witham Operatic Workshop (WOW!)is the award-winning musical youth theatre group based in Witham, Essex. Our talented and enthusiastic young performers’ ages range from 11 to 21. WOW is the junior section of Witham Amateur Operatic Society (WAOS) and has been performing a variety of challenging and outstanding musical theatre productions every year since 1996. We perform at the Public Hall, Collingwood Road, Witham, Essex annually, usually in the half-term week in February. Prospective members are warmly welcomed to join us for auditions in September each year. If you’re interested in taking part please see our website. Occasionally theatrical workshops, theatre trips and concerts are organised during the year. There is also the chance of performing with the adult group WAOS when their show requires young cast members. WAOS also encourage older members of WOW to continue involvement with the amateur theatre in Witham by joining WAOS when they are old enough. Recent awards include: A National Operatic & Dramatic Association award for the group’s 2009 production of Les Miserables School Edition and a North Essex Theatre Guild award for the group’s 2010 production of Hot Mikado. |
